Francisco Fort Museum, located in La Veta, Colorado, was originally a trading post founded by Colonel Francisco in 1862. This hub for trading and safety continued to draw in people, and eventually the town of La Veta was founded around it. The Francisco Fort Museum is full of incredible pieces of history, and is the last surviving original adobe fort in the state of Colorado.
